BEDFORD, NH – New Hampshire Housing announced today the appointment of Jess Stevenson and Charles Reynolds to its Board of Directors, bringing to the organization a broad range of experience in housing, real estate, construction, public service, community leadership, and public safety.

Jess Stevenson is the founder of Kinstruct Tiny Homes, a specialty design-build construction company based in Pembroke, New Hampshire, that specializes in Accessory Dwelling Units and small primary homes for homeowners across the state. She is also a local landlord who accepts housing vouchers, works directly with state agencies that provide housing assistance to New Hampshire residents, and serves as owner-operator of Sopris Realty LLC.
A licensed real estate broker in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts, Stevenson has generated more than $75 million in lifetime sales volume, with a primary focus on multifamily housing transactions. She previously served as a Forensic Case Manager with Gateways Community Services in Nashua, coordinating housing and treatment plans for individuals referred through New Hampshire’s area-agency and forensic services system, and holds a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell.

Charles Reynolds is a police practices consultant whose work has spanned multiple states, the Navajo Nation, Northern Ireland, and the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. He previously served as a New Hampshire police chief in Gilford, Lebanon, and Dover from 1966 to 1991, and is a past president of the International Association of Chief of Police and a member of its Board of Directors.
Reynolds has served on numerous boards and commissions, including the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, the FBI National Crime Information Center Police Advisory Board, and the New Hampshire Police Standards and Training Council. His civic service includes leadership roles in Dover as Acting City Manager, State Representative, City Councilor, Mayor, and Chair of the Dover Parking Commission. A United States Air Force veteran, Reynolds holds degrees from Saint Anselm College and Golden Gate University.

New Hampshire Housing’s Board of Directors is appointed by the Governor and Executive Council and guides the organization’s work to expand and preserve affordable housing opportunities throughout the state.
