SUMMARY:Housing Trends 2026: From the Ground Up
DESCRIPTION:As New Hampshire grapples with its housing shortage\, legislators at the state and federal levels have moved to increase the supply by tempering zoning regulations\, adjusting funding programs and encouraging new development. Meanwhile\, home prices continue to rise\, interest rates remain high\, and inflation nips at every gain. \nWhat parts of the state are seeing the most success? How are local land use boards responding? And is there any relief in sight for buyers staring down a $600\,000 median home price this year? \nIn this seminar\, our panel of experts from Sheehan Phinney\, New Hampshire Housing\, and The Stabile Companies will address the latest trends on land use and development\, how zoning disputes are playing out in the courts and what innovations have shown the most promise. \nPanelists include: \n\nNicolas H.U. Harris\, Associate\, Business Litigation Group\, Environment and Energy Group\, Sheehan Phinney\nChase Hagaman\, Managing Director\, Homeownership Division\, New Hampshire Housing\nEric L. Jackson\, Director of Acquisitions & Development\, The Stabile Companies

SUMMARY:PLAN Webinar "An Overview of RSA 79-E: Community Revitalization Tax Relief Incentive"
DESCRIPTION:PLAN Webinar “An Overview of RSA 79-E: Community Revitalization Tax Relief Incentive”\n\n\n2026 HB 1103\, enacted earlier this year\, expands RSA 79-E to allow tax relief for construction of new housing units and conversion of industrial and commercial spaces to residential use. The webinar will also feature case studies from Keene\, which recently adopted a 79-E Residential Property Revitalization Zone\, and Newmarket\, where a Coastal Resilience Incentive Zone was adopted. \nPanelists include OPD Principal Planner Noah Hodgetts\, NH Housing Manager of Community Education and Education Sarah Wrightsman\, City of Keene Senior Planner Mari Brunner\, and Town of Newmarket Planning and Community Development Director Bart McDonough. \nAfter registering\, you will receive a confirmation email from Microsoft Teams; check your spam folder if you do not receive the confirmation. \nThe webinar will be recorded and posted here. \nThis course is eligible for AICP Certification Maintenance (CM) credit.
