Section 811

The Section 811 Project Rental Assistance (PRA) program offers project-based rental assistance for extremely low-income persons with disabilities, paired with long-term supportive services.

The program is made possible through a partnership between New Hampshire Housing and the New Hampshire Department of Health & Human Services, Bureau of Mental Health Services.

The 811 PRA Program in New Hampshire:

  • Supports Independent Living: Provides extremely low-income, non-elderly persons with severe mental illness the opportunity to live as independently as possible.
  • Coordinates Voluntary Services: Ensures access to necessary support services, which are voluntary and tailored to individual needs.
  • Offers Subsidized Housing: Provides a choice of subsidized housing options that are integrated within the community.
